Infected Blood Inquiry analysing consultation responses

With the consultation deadline for the Terms of Reference of the Infected Blood Inquiry having now passed, the inquiry team has begun analysing responses. Sir Brian Langstaff, the High Court judge appointed as Chair, is now working full-time on the inquiry. A statement on the Infected Blood Inquiry website says that once the responses to the consultation have been analysed and considered the Chair will make his recommendation to the Minister.
Catherin Nalty, the Deputy Secretary to the inquiry, has also contacted those who responded to the consultation to reassure those affected that the inquiry will be investigating what happened to all those who were infected, whether they were haemophiliacs or not, and also considering the impact on families.
The inquiry team are also keen to arrange meetings outside of London to hear how people would like to engage with the inquiry, including from people who have not yet had the opportunity to meet the team.
