Health and Justice programme
Hepatitis C is much more common in prisons than in the community.
We work in every English prison, as well as many in Scotland and Wales, to address hepatitis C. This happens in partnership with HM Prison and Probation Service, UKHSA, the NHS, health care providers and with other charities. Together, we educate and test people at risk of hepatitis C and support those who need it through treatment.

Your stories
In 2007 I was back in prison. This was the first time I was tested for hepatitis C antibodies. The test was positive.
