A study about psychological and wellbeing support for people who have been infected or affected by NHS-supplied blood and blood products is looking for participants.A team of researchers would like to talk to people who were given contaminated blood or blood products, and to those affected by the infection of a relative or a loved one. They would like to find out about people’s experiences of receiving psychological, emotional and other forms of support, its availability and usefulness, and what shape future support should take. They are hoping to hear the views of a wide range of people who have been personally affected. The researchers (Ellen Nolte, Eva Cyhlarova and Jessica Carlisle) work together in the Policy Innovation and Evaluation Research Unit, which develops research evidence to help improve health and social care in England. The Unit has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care to carry out this independent research, to inform the development of future support services. If you are interested in being interviewed or would like more information, please contact the research team at eva-piru@lshtm.ac.uk or telephone 020 7955 6186.
