The Hepatitis C Trust warmly welcomes the Government’s announcement that Susan Harris has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of Infected Blood Memorial Committee. The Memorial Committee has responsibility to work with the infected blood community to ensure that the scandal and those impacted by it are not forgotten.
Susan has been a tireless campaigner for justice for those impacted by the infected blood scandal and through her work has supported countless members of the community. For the last six years, Susan has worked at the Hepatitis C Trust, providing invaluable support through our helpline, and she will now also play a leading role in ensuring that everyone’s experiences are properly commemorated.
Susan replaces former Vice-Chair Joan Edgington who has done an enormous amount to fight for justice, support the community and now leaves a tremendous legacy.
The Committee is currently preparing for a Service of Recognition, Remembrance and Reflection at St Paul’s Cathedral on 19 May. You can find out more here.
