On 6th June, we met with Exeter MP Steve Race at St Petrock’s, an Exeter-based charity working on behalf of people experiencing homelessness.
Alongside colleagues from St Petrock’s and Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, we spoke with Steve about the work we do to engage people affected by hepatitis C, our push to eliminate the virus as a public health concern – and what we’ll need to do to maintain this status, as well as the power and scope lived experience roles have to tackle wider health inequalities.
A great meeting was capped off with Steve taking a test for hepatitis C. We are very grateful to him for his time and interest in our work!
