Registration open for next Infected Blood Support and Information Group meeting

24 May 2022

The Hepatitis C Trust will host the next Infected Blood Support and Information Group (open to anyone in the Infected Blood Community) on Monday 30th May, from 5pm – 6.30pm.

This friendly, informal and confidential group is there to offer support, information and updates about any infected blood issues – eg the ongoing Infected Blood Inquiry, compensation framework, the blood support schemes and accessing counselling and psychological support, as well as supporting you with anything that the physical, mental and emotional effects of being infected/or affected by a hepatitis C infection can cause.

This next meeting will cover all of the above, but we would welcome other suggestions for the agenda if there are specific subjects or issues people would like to discuss or find out more about.

It will be facilitated by Sam May and Susan Stretch from The Hepatitis C Trust Helpline and Michelle Tolley from the Contaminated Whole Blood UK Facebook group, all of whom have had hepatitis C themselves.

Places will be on a first come, first served basis, but if it is over-subscribed, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and notified if there are any last minute cancellations. In order to secure a place for this, please register your interest in attending by 5pm, Friday 27th May by emailing Sam at helpline@hepctrust.org.uk

You will then be sent a confirmation email, link for the meeting, agenda and Zoom instructions.

We want to ensure full capacity for the group, but if you need to cancel by, or on Monday, please let us know as soon as possible as it will allow us to offer a last minute place to others who may be on the waiting list.
