This weekend, over thirty of our staff and volunteers descended on the stunning Yorkshire Dales to take on the formidable Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Hepatitis C Trust. The Challenge involved walking 24 miles including 5,200 feet of ascent in less than 12 hours. The route incorporated three impressive peaks in the Pennine region: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Many of our group had trained for weeks to be able to complete the Challenge, all towards raising funds to let us keep working on eliminating hepatitis C by 2025. Completing the walk was a massive achievement, especially given the torrential rain and wind which battered the walkers all day (except right at the end when the weather cleared for the group to complete the final peak).
