The Public Health England (PHE) Hepatitis C Virus Resistance Group last month released a report, ‘Antiviral resistance testing in the management of hepatitis C virus infection’, to support clinicians treating people with hepatitis C where the issue of resistance may be a factor in clinical decision-making.
The report makes a series of recommendations related to resistance-associated substitutions (RAS) testing, and includes five scenarios where resistance testing is recommended.
