The Art on a Ukulele crowdfunding campaign has entered its final week, with all money raised going to The Hepatitis C Trust.
Art on a Ukelele is a spin-off of The Hepatitis C Trust’s long-running Art on a Postcard project and is being run with Mick Rooney RA, whose painted ukulele from the 2016 RA Summer Exhibition inspired the project. A range of well-known artists are painting ukuleles, which will be showcased during a charity performance by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain on 12th September 2017. The ukuleles will then be auctioned off on 21st September 2017.
In order to cover the costs of the project, Art on a Postcard are aiming to raise £6,000 via a Phundee crowdfunding page. There are a range of rewards available for those who donate, including t-shirts, tote bags, and the chance to win painted plectrums by Ben Eine, Pure Evil, Hayden Kays, Shuby, Pam Glew and Sara Pope – plus more.
With just seven days left, the crowdfunding campaign has reached 76% of its target (at time of publication).
