Mark Nelson
Dr Nelson trained at Jesus College, Cambridge and The Westminster Medical School. Since that time, he has worked at The Westminster Hospital, and then at The Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
Originally training in General Medicine, he has specialised in HIV related medicine.
Dr Nelson’s major interests are co-infection with hepatitis B and hepatitis C. He also chairs the International Development Unit, which has educational projects throughout Africa and Asia.
Dr Nelson is currently Service Director for the HIV Directorate, as well as Deputy Director of Research. He is a Trustee of St Stephen’s AIDS Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those living with HIV.
