Picture power highlights fight against hepatitis C Mar 16 2006

FRANCIS Cook could never explain why he felt under the weather.The 49-year-old Merseysider spent two decades with symptoms including depression, fatigue, aches and pains. Finally he was diagnosed as having hepatitis C.

Now he is fronting a health campaign to raise awareness about the blood-borne virus, the effects of which can lead to serious liver damage including cirrhosis and liver cancer.
