Genotype 1 virus grown in lab for first time

Researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston have grown genotype 1, the most common form of the hepatitis C virus, in human liver cell cultures. This achievement is expected to assist in antivral drug and vaccine discovery programs. To read the full report click here
