Infected Blood Inquiry announces preliminary hearings and seeks commemoration participants

The Infected Blood Inquiry has announced that it will hold preliminary hearings in Church House, London, from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 September. 

These hearings will be an opportunity for core participants or their legal representatives to make opening statements about the issues in the Terms of Reference which they would like the Inquiry to prioritise.

The hearings will open with a commemoration for the people infected and affected by the infected blood scandal on the morning of the 24th.

The inquiry has so far received over 1,000 responses from people wishing to provide evidence to the inquiry, and will shortly be contacting all respondents with information about next steps.
