Art on a Postcard

Art on a Postcard; raises money for The Hepatitis C Trust towards its campaign to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK by the year 2030.

In 2014, Art on a Postcard originally started as a one-off secret postcard auction, but was so successful it has now become an ongoing project in its own right.

Artists and photographers who have taken part in our auctions include Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry CBE/RA, Marina Abramoviç, Harland Miller, Martin Parr, Es Devlin, Jeremy Deller, Peter Blake, Gilbert and George, Wolfgang Tillmans, Marc Quinn and Cicely Brown.

In 2017 we introduced Photography on a Postcard and Art on a Ukulele to our fundraising activities.

We now have many successful auctions and a number of outstanding events under our belts including partnerships with The Other Art Fair and Photo London and a themed urban art postcard auction curated by Ben Eine at Spitalfields Market in London as well our annual outings with Art Car Boot Fair.

In addition to the auctions we have a burgeoning print shop and have released a number of sell-out print editions, including Hate’s Outta Date by Harland Miller.

Upcoming Postcard Auctions

Art on a Postcard is proud to present the fourth annual Summer Auction with an exceptional line up of emerging new graduates and world-renowned artists, including performance pioneer Marina Abramović, staple of London’s Street Art scene Ben Eine and National Portrait Gallery BP Portrait Award-winner Ishbel Myerscough. For the auction, over 200 hand selected artists will create mini postcard-sized masterpieces, with bidding starting at just £50, to raise proceeds to continue The Hepatitis C Trust’s vital work.

Highly collectible emerging talents on the cusp of greatness for Summer 2022 include Yorkshire-based Jade Montserrat, whose work reflects the interplay of art and activism. She has worked as a tutor on the MFA programme at Oxford University’s Ruskin School of Art, and exhibited at Humber Street Gallery, Lisson Gallery and Brighton CCA. Tosin Kalejaye, a self-taught Nigerian artist who uses his art to convey impressions about modern society and the everyday black experience; and Ruairi Fallon, who works across paintings, textiles, and woodcuts and has been exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, Mall Galleries and in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. They will be shown alongside original artworks by Kathe Burkhart, Adam de Boer, and Miriam de Búrca as well as long-time Art on a Postcard supporters Alicia Rothman, David Wightman and Otto Schade.

The original artworks will be exhibited at the summer edition of The Other Art Fair in London from 30 June – 3 July 2022 West Handyside, King’s Cross. Tickets available via The Other Art Fair site.
