It is always a good idea to ask them if they have experience of treating people with hepatitis C and make sure that they understand the disease. It is very important that you feel comfortable with, and confident in, the person who is treating you.

Feb 2008 - The Gateway clinic has just been through a Public Health review with the NHS and the final conclusion was that they would only commission Chinese medicine and acupuncture for conditions backed by evidence based medicine. Hepatitis C unfortunately doesn't have any evidence with Chinese medicine due to a lack of research and the clinic has regretfully had to stop its treatment of patients with hepatitis C.
The Gateway clinic can now only accept GP referrals for the following conditions:
- Musculoskeletal pain including back, neck, knees, joint pain
- Sciatica and Neuralgia
- Headaches and Migraines
- Cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy support (including fatigue, pain, nausea, sweats, post surgical pain anxiety/depression etc.)

Hepatitis C clinic on Mondays from 10am till 3pm. For current or ex-drug users with hepatitis C they offer acupuncture, Chinese herbs and free vitamins and supplements. You need to make an appointment to become a client of the Blenheim Project with proof of your hepatitis C status and you must be a resident of Kensington, Chelsea or Westminster.
They run a drop in service every day from 1pm till 4pm and offer a range of complimentary therapies daily, including ear acupuncture.
