| Both Boceprevir (Victrelis) and Telaprevir (Incivo, Incivek) have now been licensed but not NICE approved. This means that they can now be prescribed but the NHS may not fund it. Alternatively a patient may pay for it themselves. We are expecting them to be NHS approved in summer 2012. In extreme cases where a patient may need to do treatment immediately it may be available on the NHS. UPDATE: Boceprevir (Victrelis) and Telaprevir (Incivo, Incivek) have now been approved for use within the NHS in Scotland. | | |
 | | Both drugs are due to be assessed for their cost and clinical effectiveness by NICE mid 2012 at which time the NHS will have to offer them to everybody if they are approved. To read more about Victrelis (Boceprevir) click here To read more about Telaprevir (Incivo, Incivek) click here |
