HCVAction

The Hepatitis C Trust is pleased to be running the secretariat of an exciting new project, HCVAction. HCVAction brings together the hepatitis C professional community to influence policy and raise standards of delivery to reduce hepatitis C mortality. The group’s current goals are to: improve the quality of care for hepatitis C including increased prevention, diagnosis and treatment; ensure hepatitis C is a major element of the liver strategy; and to ensure delivery and implementation of the liver strategy.

A key function of HCVAction is to ensure that promising practice from across the UK in all aspects of hepatitis C risk awareness messaging, testing, diagnosis, treatment and patient support can be accessed by any healthcare professional looking for helpful examples on how to improve their own service or share their knowledge and experience. In the ‘Promising Practice Hub’ we collect and display this promising practice from across the UK and we encourage anyone who would like to find out more or to share promising practice with fellow professionals to visit the website: www.hcvaction.org.uk or get in touch: email hcvaction@hepctrust.org.uk.

HCVAction also commissions research, lobbies for improvements in services with policy-makers, raises awareness of hepatitis C amongst healthcare professionals and undertakes a number of other projects. To find out more, please visit www.hcvaction.org.uk.
