Sadie Frost's Hep C Supper Club

The C Party at Sadie Frost’s house was an unqualified success. The food was amazing. Gizzi Erskine and Lee Behan from The Friday Food club cooked up a five course, vegetarian liver-friendly feast. Sadie Frost is a strict vegetarian - to some of the guest’s dismay! but the food didn’t disappoint anyone.

We ate Spiced Pea Fritters with Green Sauce, Tomato consommé with tomato petals and ratatouille, Yuzu and truffle beetroot, Goats curd and watercress salad and Bombay Potato Scotch egg, with curried carrot and cauliflower puree and curry oil.

Every dinner party needs a bit of a naughty desert so we had Sicilian lemon and cola tart. At least the lemons are great for the liver.

The guest list was stellar. All our faithful supporters turned up including Boy George, Adam Ant, Lisa Moorish, Carl Barat and Beatrix Ong and we were pleased to welcome some new faces; Grace Woodward from Britain and Ireland’s next top model came along with her friend cult comedienne Olivia Lee and Pete Denton from The Kooks turned up with his gorgeous wife Portia Freeman.

Gizzi and George

Comedy was provided by stand-up Chris Dangerfield who delighted and appalled in equal measure.

Boy George was the first to arrive and the last to leave. And despite the torrential rain we experienced early on in the day we managed to enjoy a lovely summer evening on Sadie’s balcony where we all chatted late into the night.

All the celebrities that came learned a lot about the liver and hepatitis C that night and everyone wanted to know how they can help more.

The C party is a fantastic format to raise awareness and experiment with healthy food. It’s a way for you to inform your friends and family in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
