Ibiza 2011

The Hepatitis C Trust’s Get Tested was back at Pete Tong’s International Music Summit for the 3rd year running and this year we combined our auction with a dinner to celebrate Pete Tong’s 20 years at Radio 1. The great and good came out to Ibiza to celebrate with Pete and raise money for The Hepatitis C Trust. Guests included Carl Cox, Rob Da Bank, legendry DJ Sasha and the whole evening was hosted by Emma B.

We raised a massive €14,500 from paintings from artists such as Nancy Fouts, Goldie, Zoe Grace and one of Pete Doherty’s infamous blood paintings. The highlight of the evening was Urban in Ibiza’s Paul Dizzy Suanders getting up on stage to auction a print he didn’t actually have with him. After Dizzi asking someone to start the bidding off at €50 Jamie Hargreves, the Matalan mogul was straight in there snapping it up for €2000 not giving anyone else a chance.

The International Music Summit (IMS) provide us with a platform to raise awareness and co-host great events with us each year. Over the past 3 years we have raised over of £30K from the events we put on with the IMS. Mark and Sarah Broadbent from We Love at Space on Sundays have helped to raise over £10K over the last 3 years.

Thank you so much to all the people who donated artwork to us including Pertwee, Anderson and Gold Gallery. We wouldn’t be able to do this without the help of a few key players in Ibiza. Luke Peppé from Ibiza Villas has consistently provided our workers with accommodation by donating a villa each time we go out.
